But the supermarkets are already getting in the festive spirit.
This week, M&S revealed their Christmas food range for holiday season 2019, and guys – it is seriously delicious-sounding.
Aaiming to make hosting the festivities as stress-free as possible, M&S are making sure they cater for everyone this year with over 170 new products. From vegans and veggies, to those with dietary requirements and hosts who need some help with mastering the perfect turkey, there is something for all of us.
‘Having listened to the feedback of over 80,000 customers, M&S has created the ULTIMATE range designed to help you and your families enjoy Christmas by taking out some of the most angst-inducing elements of Christmas entertaining,’ M&S revelaed.
So what can you pick up this festive season?
Well, there’s a new vegan Christmas dinner (including plant protein pigs in blankets) and a festive vegan sandwich featuring sweet potato, chestnut and cranberry roast, gluten-free party favourites, a cheese advent calendar, a foolproof turkey centrepiece and the perfect gift for gin lovers.
Sounds yum? We know.
Top of the list ‘Turkey Terror’ – there are over 20 things that customers worry about in relation to the Christmas turkey, so M&S reveals they have spent over a year creating the absolute fool-proof ‘Perfect Turkey’ – an absolute gamechanger, everything is done, no prep needed simply pop in the oven for two hours – DONE!
You can also way goodbye to any dietary dilemmas this holiday season, as there will be a full vegan Christmas dinner on offer, complete with mouth-watering plant protein centre piece, vegetables, roast potatoes, gravy, stuffing and even ‘no pigs in duvets’!
Gluten intolarant customer need not worry either, as this year’s festive food also includes an even larger selection of gluten-free products including mince pies, Christmas pudding and a selection of party food.
Here are some of the delicious-sounding treat we can’t wait to snap up:
- Brie En Croute; the ultimate tear and share – needs no ‘dippers’ as pastry is the dipper- totally fool proof. Brie is wrapped in all butter puff pastry which takes three days to make at Yorkshire Baker
- Cornish Cheese Advent Calendar; perfect for cheddar lovers, as cheese a day until Christmas!
- Spanish Pigs in Blankets; M&S are famous for Pigs in Blankets and sell a massive 6.5 million in the run up to Christmas! These are spin on classic using specialist Spanish pancetta around chorizo sausage with a blossom honey glaze
- Trifle Granola; customer like to get in the festive sprit early and this cleverly deconstructed trifle, putting all the elements into a delicious, indulgent granola, lets them do just that! Complete with all the layers, it has vanilla custard flavoured baked oats and decadent melt in the mouth white chocolate, fruity strawberry jelly pieces, creamy yoghurt coated cornflakes, zingy freeze-dried raspberries, and the star of the show – mini sponge cake pieces
- Clementine Gin Liqueur Snow Globe; this is going to be THE gift of the season, a festive clementine flavoured gin complete with edible 23 carat gold leaf pieces, which when the bottle is turned, magically float, creating a snow globe effect.
