A mum was arrested for bringing a knife to her son’s school to “confront his bullies.”
The Florida woman, Olga Cortez, drove to her son’s school after she heard that her 13-year-old was being bullied.
Police said that Cortez identified the alleged bullies to school administration.
However, one of the students then “assaulted” the mum leading to her taking a knife out.
Local news source, WTSP, reports that school staff got Cortez under control and she eventually put the knife back in her car.
She was arrested alongside three teenagers involved in the incident.
The school’s principal told students:
“Before school started, we went into self-contained mode due to police activity in the bus parking lot. CMPD responded and arrested a suspect.
Cortez was charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of carrying a weapon on school grounds.
She was released from jail on Friday.
No one was hurt during the incident.
