The mum of Georgina Callander, one of the victims of the Manchester attack, has said that her daughter just got accepted into university to study paediatrics.

Lesley Callander has said that she is “so proud” of her daughter for receiving such impressive A-level results.

Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Georgina’s mum said that her daughter was awarded  “an unconditional place at Edge Hill University to study a BSc degree in paediatrics.”

“She was so excited about it (…) It is obviously sad for us because we were so excited for her when she got the news that she was off to uni, but we are just so proud of what she achieved.”

Georgina was killed tragically in May at an Ariana Grande.

A bomb detonated in the foyer of the Manchester Arena, killing 22 people and injuring many more.

18-year-old Georgina was an Ariana super fan.

Her mum said that it was daughter’s dream to become a doctor since she was 11-years-old.
