Thousands of people are reportedly missing their flights due to the current delays at Dublin Airport.
Extreme queues at the airport are causing major problems for travelers.
Over the weekend, Dublin Airport stated that people would miss their flights due to these issues.
According to The Independent, approximately 1,000 people missed their flights.
A spokesperson stated: “Due to significant queues inside the terminal for check-in, bag drop & security, passengers queueing outside the terminal may not make their flight & may need to contact their airline to rebook.

“We sincerely apologise for the obvious frustration and inconvenience this may cause.”
Frustrated travelers expressed their outrage online.
Many revealed that they completely missed their flights and had no choice but to return home.
One shared, “My son and his wife and 4-month-old queued for 3 hours and didn’t even get into the airport. They are home now and so disappointed.”
One HerFamily reader shared, “We were there Friday in Terminal 2. We checked in Thursday evening and still had to wait 1.5 hours just to drop bags and then another 1.5 hours in US Preclearance.”

Another added, “Imagine the stress of people trying to get home or to sick or dying relatives or been in that queue trying to make a funeral. How is everything such a f*** up in this country?”
Next weekend is set to be even busier at the airport. They’re expecting 100,000 passengers, which means people should arrive even earlier than planned.
The DAA has promised to update travel advice before the weekend.
Dublin Airport’s Kevin Cullinae apologised to those who missed flights this weekend.
“We will recompense anyone who was out of pocket because of yesterday’s queues,”
