Two children were home when woman suffered ‘horrendous death’ in Raheny

“There were two children in the house at the time”

A woman who was found dead in Raheny in Dublin on Thursday, June 15th was a mother.

According to reports, the children were at the house when the woman suffered a “horrendous death”.

They were reportedly in the house at the time of the murder, but they were not harmed.

A source told The Irish Mirror, “This was an absolutely savage attack and the victim suffered a horrendous death.

“It’s a very distressing case. Not only is the nature of the attack shocking but there were two children in the house at the time. Gardai arrested the suspect at the scene.”

A man in his 50s has since been charged with the woman’s murder.

Gardaí confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident in Raheny.

The suspect will appear before the CCJ, Court No.1 this morning, Friday, June 16th.

The woman’s body has been removed from the house in Raheny and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
