Parents are urged to be quick as places will likely fill up

Ireland’s first purpose-built baby and toddler swim school will be opening its door this September in Sandyford, Dublin.

First Swim will welcome parents and their little ones from September 11th, 2023 to their brand new facility located on the Plaza at the Beacon South Quarter.

They’ll be offering swim classes to pre-school children aged 3 months to 4 years old, running seven-days a week from 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday to Sunday.

The online booking calendar will go live on July 3rd 2023 to select class dates and times and parents are urged to be quick as places will likely fill up.

A spokesperson for the new swim school said: “Our onsite pool is heated to a balmy 33°C with state of the art UV filtration reducing the need for chlorine which is great news for babies.

“Class sizes are capped at 8 per class in the pool at any one time so there will be no distractions from other groups enhancing that connection between parents and their little ones.

“Our bespoke curriculum, taught by experienced swim teachers, is based on the traditional baby and toddler swim courses with songs and nursery rhymes led sessions.

“We have added extra signature elements to our classses that include aquatic baby massage for the younger groups.”

To ensure that parents have what they need when on site, the owners confirmed that mums and dads will have access to bottle warming stations and microwaves for food prepared by parents.

There will also be plenty of high chairs, a buggy park with car seat storage and free WIFI to stay connected.

Speaking about the upcoming opening, Owners Colin & Vicky Mac Andrias said: “Both of our children learned water confidence from an early age when we lived overseas and we said that when the time was right, we would return home to Ireland to open a swim school for babies and toddlers, designed from scratch, incorporating all the little things that make a huge difference to pre-school children and their parents.

“After a few years of hard work, planning and commitment, we are delighted to be opening First Swim later this year.”
