The mother and her 17-month-old baby were sitting on the bus when a brick was thrown through the window of the bus.
A schoolboy has been charged after he threw a brick through a bus window.
A toddler was hit on the head after the 15-year-old threw it through the bus she was on with her mother.
According to
reports, the schoolboy "hurled" the brick at the moving vehicle on Glasgow's Battlefield Road.
The incident took place at around 6.45 pm on Tuesday, January 10th.
The mother and her baby were sitting on the bus when the brick came through the window.
The brick landed on the pram and hit the young baby on the head.
Shattered glass also fell onto the child's pram.
Thankfully, the 17-month-old child did not suffer severe injuries. However, she was taken to the hospital for observation.
Her mother was "extremely distressed" following the incident.
Police confirmed the infant was admitted to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
She was later released and is doing well.
Police Scotland confirmed a 15-year-old male was arrested. He has now been charged in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson said;
"A report will be submitted to the Scottish Children's Reporter and enquiries are ongoing."
