The woman who died in a Waterford car crash has been identified as 22-year-old midwife Shauna McGrath.
Shauna McGrath sadly died in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday, July 12th.
The Dungarvan midwife was on her way home from a night shift at University Hospital Waterford when the crash happened.
Ms. McGrath was just 15 minutes away from her home when the horror collision occurred.
The Midwives Association of Ireland penned a moving tribute to Shauna.
"Our condolences to family, friends, midwifery colleagues, and fellow students of Shauna McGrath, whose tragic death occurred on Tuesday morning after her shift in the Waterford maternity unit."
"A sad loss to our profession. Scíth a ligean go sámh Shauna," they added.
Abbeyside Ladies GAA Club also paid tribute.
"It is with profound sadness and disbelief that we learned yesterday of the passing of one of our own Abbeyside camogie players, a beautiful, talented young girl taken from us too soon."
"Shauna was a very popular and talented girl."
The collision occurred on the N25 at Faha near Kilmacthomas, Co.Waterford on July 12th.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash after 8.30 am.
The lorry driver was not seriously injured in the collision.
Shauna's body was removed from the scene to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem is due to take place.
