Pupils and staff at the Wales school were left horrified following the incident
Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a stabbing at a school in Wales.
According to reports, the incident has been contained, but staff and pupils of Ysgol Dyffryn Aman are traumatised following the major incident.
It is understood that three people were injured during the attack, but one person has since been arrested.
The school in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire in Wales is reportedly on lockdown following the accident.
Speaking after the incident, Carmarthenshire Councillor Rob James said:
“My thoughts are with the Headteacher, teaching staff, parents, and pupils of Ysgol Dyffryn Aman after today’s major incident.
“I have been in contact with Carmarthenshire Council and will provide any support I can to the school during this difficult time.”
The incident reportedly involved two teenage girls, according to WalesOnline.
Staff reportedly intervened during the incident and emergency services were called.
Footage of the incident is reportedly circulating on social media, but the public has been asked not to spread it online.
Police remain at the scene and have launched an investigation following the stabbing.
