Olivia Wilde was reportedly served custody papers live on stage.
The director was showcasing her new movie Don’t Worry Darling at CinemaCon.
Wilde was in the middle of a speech when someone approached the stage.
They were holding a brown envelope that had ‘personal and confidential’ printed on it.
Wilde opened the envelope on stage but remained professional. According to reports, child custody documents were inside the envelope.
The audience presumed it was just a script or note from a fan, but they were actually legal documents.
Wilde even thought the document was a film script, but Variety confirmed the envelope actually contained custody documents.

However, Wilde’s ex Jason Sudeikis claims he had no idea this would happen.
“Papers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis.”
A source added, “Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered.
“This would solely be up to the process service company involved.
“He would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.”
Following the incident, CinemaCon said is now re-evaluating its security.
After the incident, Wilde showed the audience a clip from Don’t Worry Darling.
She said the film is “a love letter to movies that push the boundaries of our imagination”.
Wilde started dating the American comedian in November 2011. The pair announced their engagement in 2013 and went on to welcome two children together.

However, Wilde and Sudeikis called off their engagement in 2020.
Sudeikis is still struggling to understand why it ended.
He previously told GQ, “I’ll have a better understanding of why in a year and an even better one in two.
“And an even greater one in five,” he added.
He added that their relationship will one day just be a chapter in his life.
“You take some responsibility for it, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it.”
The couple shares two children together- daughter Daisy and son Otis.
Wilde is currently in a relationship with singer and actor Harry Styles.
The pair met when they were working on Wilde’s movie Don’t Worry Darling, but didn’t start dating until after filming ended.
Sources claim their relationship is “serious” and the As It Was singer is head over heels in love.
