This isn’t the best start.
The rehearsals for Dancing with the Stars has only just begun and one of the celebrities has already injured themselves. Former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh has had a very bad start to the competition after breaking one of her toes, leaving her unable to rehearse.
Unlucky for Aoife, the injury didn’t even happen while practicing. She accidentally stubbed her toe off her bed and needed to get a mini cast for it.
She joined Nicky Byrne on his 2fm radio show yesterday where she said:
“I was just getting out of my bed and stubbed my toe off my bed frame and broke it.
It’s a bit stressful – they’ve all started rehearsals two weeks now and I’m kind of standing back being like, oh my God, I don’t even know if I can move yet. I haven’t even got on the dance floor yet.”
She said that she was advised to relax over the next few weeks in the run-up to Christmas and begin training after that.
“Basically, the advice is to rest it and give it time to heal so my plan of action is I’m going to have zero Christmas and hopefully catch up with the other guys.”
