A huge congratulations is in order for Danielle Brooks – she’s engaged!
The Orange Is The New Black star took to Instagram to share the news, with a gorgeous photo of her with her arms around her fiancé, all the while showing off her engagement ring.
In the post, she wrote: “I never thought one of the best days of my year would happen the last week of the year. I get to marry my best friend. We’re ENGAGED!! So excited to become your wife. D&D until the end.”
In the same post, she shared a video of them dancing together, and she looks so overjoyed.
In November the actress, who has played Tasytee Jefferson in the Netflix series for seven seasons, announced that she welcomed a baby girl.
She shared a lovely black and white photo of her newborn, as well as the incredibly detailed caption: “11.16.19. She’s perfect.”
When announcing her pregnancy, she told PEOPLE that she was both excited and nervous at the prospect of becoming a mother – which seems fair enough, yeah.
“I’m excited to teach her how to be a woman in this world without worrying about judgement and give her the freedom to be the person that she wants to be,” she said.
“Then getting to see that person come to life and grow and change their opinions. I’m excited to see this little human!”
