Passengers were not happy at Belfast International Airport this morning.
Today, while waiting to check in to various flights at the airport, customers were made join crazy queues outside of the terminal while awaiting security check.
This isn’t the first time that passengers have been left frustrated and stuck in long queues ahead of their flights at the airport as last month, Belfast International said they would be opening two new security lanes to speed through customers in the coming months. However, in order to make new lanes, they’ve had to close lanes and so, have reduced the lanes from six to five at the moment causing serious delays.
One passenger who almost missed her flight due to the queuing this morning is Kelley McBride. Sharing an image of the wait to her Twitter account, she spoke to Belfast Live saying she had to queue for 40 minutes to get through security.

A spokesperson for the airport today alerted customers to arrive two hours prior to their flight to ensure they make it until the renovations are complete.
