Buckingham palace has released a statement about Donald Trump’s visit

Rebecca O'Keeffe

Interesting.

A few weeks back President Donald Trump visited the UK.

During his trip, Trump met with the Queen – and disrespected her in a number of ways FYI.

Anyway, people really noticed the fact that Queen Elizabeth met with the American President alone.

No sign of her son, Prince Charles, or her grandson Prince William.

Odd when you consider the time the Obamas visited London, and were recieved by numerous members of the royal family.

I mean even Prince George met Barack Obama… rocking a little white dressing gown (never 4get).

Anyway, the rumour mill started spinning (naturally), saying that members of the family refused to meet with Trump.

Who could blame them, I guess?

The palace has responded to the rumours though.

“In line with standard practice for guest of government visits the President was received by The Queen as Head of State. The arrangements were mutually agreed between the Palace and the U.K. and U.S. governments.”

“There was never a suggestion that other members of the royal family would take part.”

I don’t buy it to be honest.

During the Trump visit, people took to the streets of London to protest the President and his policies.

Donald and his wife were also LATE for their meeting with the Queen.

Oh, and Donald Trump also walked in front of Queen Elizabeth, which is a sign of major disrespect.

Cool.
