Gardaí are currently investigating the incident.
It has been reported that two men approached children playing in a playground yesterday in Swords.
According to local reports, the kids were playing in the Applewood area, when two men came up to them in a silver car and asked if their dad was around.
They then asked the children to get in their car ‘so they could look for their dad.’
The children did not get in the car, ran away and alerted their parents.
Gardaí confirmed to Dublin Live that they are currently investigating the incident.
A spokesperson said:
“Garda are investigating a reported suspicious approach to a group of 4 youths in the Applewood area of Swords.
“This reportedly occurred on Tuesday at approximately 11:30am. No offence was disclosed.”
Locals in the area are reaching out to parents and guardians in the area, warning them to be extra vigilant after the incident.
