This is why you won’t see pictures from Prince George’s first day of school

Rebecca O'Keeffe

This is very fair.

So royal tradition stipulates that all major events should be photographed and shared with the public.

These pictures give us all a glimpse into what life is like for the royal family.

This year alone we’ve seen wedding pictures, christening pictures and engagement snaps.

It has been a busy year for the family, and it’s only September.

Sure, next week will see Prince George’s first day of school – but don’t get too excited.

This year, we won’t be seeing any first day snaps, and for a very good reason!

HELLO!‘s royal correspondent (dream job) explained why.

“Prince George’s time at school is private and although the Duke and Duchess shared an image from his first day at primary school last year, they won’t do it every year.”

We don’t blame them.

Prince George's first day

Apparent, the tradition in the family is that royal children are photographed on their first day in the school, but not in the following years.

Prince George is due to head back to school on September 6th, and is expected to have a wide curriculum.

The young prince will start ballet lessons this year as part of his schooling.

Meanwhile the lovely Princess Charlotte will return to school on September 5th, according to the nursery’s term dates.

We hope they have a fantastic year, and learn loads!
