Police Have Been Given Roughly Six Months to Find Madeleine McCann Before Funds Run Out

Police have been given £95,000 for the search of Madeleine McCann. This roughly translates as six more months.

UK Home Secretary Theresa May has allocated more funds to the search, nine years after the toddler disappeared whilst on holiday in Portugal.

The Metro claims that Kate and Gerry McCann believed that the investigation, called Operation Grange, would cease this month due to the end of the financial year.

At the moment, there are four officers allocated to Madeleine’s case (it was once at 30) but the injection of money could signify fresh hope for her parents.

However, once the funds run out, their 5-year inquiry into the incident will come to an end.
