Don’t put your winter clothing into storage too soon.
As Met Eireann predicts this week is going to be a cold one.
Sharing the national forecast for the week ahead on Monday morning, it looks like although today (Monday) and tomorrow are set to be fairly dry with temperatures ranging between 3 – 8 degrees, Wednesday is looking a whole lot different.
On Wednesday “heavy showers and some good sunny spells” are expected before some icy conditions in the late afternoon. Sharing the forecast, Met Eireann wrote:
“There will be good clear spells and it will turn very cold with lowest temperatures falling to between -3 to +2 degrees and a widespread frost and some icy stretches.”

Thursday is expected to be clear with “patchy frost” in some places and minimum temperatures of 1 – 4 degrees.
And finally, on Friday, prepare for a mixed bag of elements with predicted scattered showers and clear spells with a predominately rainy night in store.
