Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet given ‘princess’ title

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle held a private christening for their daughter Lilibet at their home in California. The Christening took place on Friday, March 3rd. The couple's spokesperson confirmed the news in a statement to People. They shared, "I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3, by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor." The news has surprised many fans of the couple because of Lilibet's title. Buckingham Palace has yet to confirm if the royals have given Lilibet an official royal title. King Charles, the Queen Consort, Prince William, and the Princess of Wales were reportedly invited to the event but apparently, none of them were in attendance. Around 20 to 30 guests attended the event, including Meghan's mother Doria Ragland. Lilibet's godfather Tyler Perry was also there. As was her godmother, whose identity has not yet been shared. Both Prince Harry and Meghan have agreed that their children can use their royal titles in formal settings, but they do have the choice to remove them when they are older. The parents don't want to deny them their birthright as royals, but they also want them to make the decision themselves when they are older.
