The perfect choice!
Princess Eugenie became engaged to Jack Brooksbank back in January – and the countdown to the big day is on.
The Queen’s granddaughter, 28, will walk down the aisle on October 12 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
And unlike Meghan Markle, Eugenie will be having a Maid of Honour.
In May of this year, the stunning Meghan Markle made the bold choice to walk down the aisle alone.
Eugenie has decided on another path, asking her sister Princess Beatrice to be chief bridesmaid on the day.
In a recent interview wit British Vogue, the sisters spoke about the big day, and all the preparations.
“I’m not stressed at all,” Eugenie said.
“It’s very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”
Princess Beatrice added: “Euge is amazing. She’s a very modern bride.”
The sisters are the best of pals, and in a 2008 interview, Eugenie gave The Telegraph some insight into their friendship:
“We get on fantastically well, perhaps because we do and think different things.”
“I am definitely not as polite as Beatrice, I have to say. I tell it as it is. I am shyer at first. Like, at a party I will say to Beatrice as we go in, ‘Oh, you go first.'”
“But then, when we’re actually in, I am much louder and she is far more polite and solicitous.”
So excited for Eugenie to be able to share her big day with her sister!
Roll on royal wedding number TWO.
