The Queen has apparently called a ‘crisis meeting’ with Prince Harry

What goss.

The Queen has apparently called a “crisis meeting” with Prince Harry to discuss his decision to step down as a senior member of the royal family.

The meeting – also including Prince Charles and Prince William – will involve the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to engage in a “new working model” that will allow them to live more independently.

The meeting will take place in the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk on Monday. Meghan is expected to join the discussion via phone from Canada.

Reuters reports that this will be the first time that the senior members of the royal family have met since Harry and Meghan’s announcement.

The couple announced earlier this week that they were planning to “step back” from senior royal duties in a bid to eventually become financially independent.

They issued their statement via an Instagram post saying that they plan to split their time between the UK and the US to give their family “space,” all the while remaining loyal to the Queen.

Seemingly, the royal family had not been informed of Harry and Meghan’s decision before the post was shared online.

Meghan has since travelled to Canada with baby Archie. The couple have said that they are planning to split their time between the US and the UK in the future.

“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity,” they said.

Page Six reports that the couple will be doing a tell-all interview with Gayle King after the details of their departure from the royals are ironed out.

King attended Meghan’s baby shower in New York City last year, and later visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the birth of their son.

“It’s hush-hush, but there’s no one else they would turn to,” an insider told the publication.
