Trust Queen Elizabeth to be awkward about things.
If you think you’ll catch HRH referring to Meghan Markle, or anyone for that matter as being “pregnant”, well, think again.
In an old article dug up by US Weekly, Queen Elizabeth actually finds the word “pregnant” to be “vulgar” as well as all words referring to it. So we’re thinking “pregnancy”, “expecting” and “carrying a baby” are all off the cards too.
No, instead Her Majesty has a word which she believes is far more appropriate – yes, Queen Elizabeth uses “in the family way” which I mean, is not only confusing but far less efficient.
“Sorry, granny, what did you just call Meghan?”
And it looks like once her grandchildren are born, she has some strict table manners by which they must adhere to. No high chairs are allowed at any royal table that the 92-year-old will be dining at. According to the same article, they have no place at the table until they learn proper table manners according to Her Majesty.
But lastly, the most bizarre demand by the longest reigning British monarch is that she needs ball-shaped ice cubes in her drinks. Yep, according to a royal aide, HRH requests ice in a spherical shape because they make less noise. Erm, whatever you say Queenie.
