How sad?
Kerry Katona has revealed the reason why she never has a birthday party for herself.
The former Atomic Kitten star said that she started to “hate” parties when she was a child, after nobody turned up to her birthday.
How sad for her?
Speaking in her new! magazine column, she said:
“I hate parties in general. It stems from my ninth birthday, when my mum threw me a do.”
“She was a lesbian and her sister, who was also gay, and their partners came too.”
“It was the 80’s and I’m guessing the prejudice was huge because not a single other person turned up”.
“I had to play pass the parcel on my own! So I swore I’d never have a birthday do again”.
God that is such a sad story!
Despite her vow to never throw a party again, Kerry did throw herself a 30th birthday party, which aired on TV.
She also had a baby shower when she was pregnant with her daughter, DJ, but admitted that she hated receiving presents.
This also stemmed to a comment about Meghan Markle’s baby shower in New York.
Kerry explained that she was uncomfortable about “rich, important women accepting gifts”.
