CCPC issue urgent recall of Dunnes Stores baby sleep bag after thousands sold

There are approximately 6,387 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

Dunnes Stores customers are being warned over a recent recall of the retailer’s ‘Children’s Sleep and Grow Bag’.

The product has been recalled due the a possible risk of “strangulation, discomfort, rash and irritation as the neck opening of the product is generally smaller than the recommended specification,” according to the notice.

The brand is Dunnes Stores, the type/number of model is ‘style numbers’ 6454933, 6454934, 6454935 – the batch number is unknown.

The bar codes for the relevant products are as follows:

  • Style 6454933 – 5099014380487, 5099014380494, 5099014380500
  • Style 6454934 – 5099014380517, 5099014380524, 5099014380531
  • Style 6454935 – 5099014466327, 5099014466334, 5099014466341

Officials confirmed that the sales period for the products within the Republic of Ireland was from March 3rd 2023 to April 17th 2023.

There are approximately 6,387 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do

If you purchased one of these products, you should discontinue use immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.
