Ronan Keating has paid an emotional tribute to his brother Ciaran after his untimely death.

Ciaran’s funeral took place in Co. Mayo on Thursday morning.

Ciaran tragically died after a two-vehicle collision in Mayo on Saturday. The dad was reportedly travelling to Cork to watch his son’s football game but collided with another car on his way. His wife Anne-Marie was also injured in the accident, but her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Ciaran’s loved ones gathered at St. Patrick’s Church in Louisburgh on Thursday morning. His brother Ronan Keating sang ‘This Is Your Song’ at his brother’s funeral service.

The singer penned the song for his late mother and said he didn’t think he’d sing it again in similar circumstances.

According to The Irish Mirror, the singer said: “This song was written 25 years ago when we lost our mum. I shouldn’t be singing it in these circumstances, but… here we are.”

Ciaran’s family issued a heartbreaking statement ahead of his funeral.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Ciarán Keating.

“Dearly loved husband of Annemarie, devoted father of Conall, Ruairí, and Aisling, and adoring grandpa to Bobbi, May, Reggie, Archie T., and Sonnie.

“Ciarán is predeceased by his beloved mother Marie, father-in-law Kevin, brothers-in-law Colm, Joey, and Shane.”

“May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace,” they added.
