She has bravely opened up about her Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in the past. She said it has made it harder for her to get pregnant, but she doesn't want to give up on that dream.
The TV personality revealed she had PCOS in 2020. Gemma said she has struggled since she was diagnosed in her 20s, but chooses to "rise above".
According to the HSE, PCOS affects a woman's ovaries, as well as her hormones, periods, and fertility. It affects almost 1 in 5 women of childbearing age.
There is no cure for PCOS but there are many treatments available.
