Inspiration from Hilary Duff’s birthing playlist if you’re due to give birth soon

Jody Coffey

Music has been proven to help mum and baby during labour and birth

Hilary Duff is due to welcome her fourth baby into the world soon and, in the lead-up, has prepared a music playlist for the birth.

The actress has shared what will be the soundtrack of her next child’s birth, allowing fellow parents to draw inspiration from it for their own.

““Hilary’s birth playlist 🧝‍♀️4 let’s gooooo” she wrote on her Instagram story, adding: “Made a cute birthing playlist- take a listen! Not sure about the order yet but I think I’m going to enjoy it.”

The Cheaper By The Dozen star shares her eldest son, Luca, with her former husband Mike Comrie, and two daughters, Banks and Mae, with her husband, Matthew Koma.

Research has shown that music can help reduce pain, regulate breathing, and positively influence your emotions and hormones.

It can serve as a great distraction when you’re in labour and offers mum some control over their environment.

Whether you’re waiting to welcome your baby any day now, halfway through your pregnancy, or just found out you’re expecting, music can help you connect to this special time in your life as it helps to reinforce memories.

We’ve curated a special list of songs that are not only relaxing but hold special lyrics that can only describe the love between a parent and their child.
