Like countless other television productions affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, shooting for the highly-anticipated Friends reunion has been delayed.
However, the stars of the iconic TV series have decided to use this unexpected interlude to include their fans in the upcoming show. And the best part? It’s all for a brilliant cause.
As part of the All In Challenge, a fundraising initiative was which launched in response to the global pandemic and has garnered considerable support in Hollywood, the folks behind Friends are giving not one, not two, but six people the chance to be part of television history by offering tickets to the taping of the reunion.
In an Instagram post which has amassed almost five million likes in mere hours, Jennifer Aniston told fans that to be in with a chance to win, all they have to do is make a monetary donation of their choice, with all proceeds going to charity.
“We’re so excited to join the ALL IN challenge to help keep people fed and healthy during this time,” the actress wrote before giving followers an insight into what the lucky winner (and their friends!) can expect.
“We’re inviting you and five of YOUR friends to join the six of us on Stage 24. Be our personal guests in the audience for the taping of our @HBOMAX reunion, as we reminisce about the show and celebrate all the fun we had and get the whole Friends VIP experience on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour.”
Jennifer finished her post with a nod to the future, telling fans she can’t wait to meet and hug them ‘when this is all over’.
“Until then, keep Facetiming, calling, DMing, and texting your friends and family. We gotta stay connected,” she encouraged.
Her friend and co-star Lisa Kudrow echoed the announcement on her own Instagram page, writing: “Your Friends from FRIENDS want you to know something… We are all in!!”
“Be our personal guests in the audience for the taping where you’ll see us all together again for the first time in AGES, as we reminisce about the show and celebrate the fun we had. PLUS sip a cup of coffee with us in Central Perk and get the “Friends” VIP experience on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour.”
Listen, whether you’ve always been a die-hard Friends fan or merely gave the show a cursory look over the last 26 years, there are few TV sets as iconic as the one Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Monica called home for ten years, and we want in.
