Smyths Toys Superstores have issued a customer product withdrawal notice for a specific batch of car seats.
They are recalling a particular batch of the Dimples Elite Group 1-2-3 Car Seat (No. 127866), which retails at €49.99, due to a safety issue.
The statement on their website explained that a batch manufactured on July 15 2015 was found to have “poor quality finishing which has the potential to cause deterioration to the harness buckle strap.”
They informed customers that the date would be on the bottom of the seats (as shown in the picture above) and that customers are advised to return them to the store for a replacement or refund.
Smyths also apologised for any convenience but said that product quality and customer safety are paramount to them.
