Smyths recall

Today Smyths Toys issued a recall for one of their electrical games.

The toy called the Furious Challenger Road Racing Set Toy is being recalled due to an electrical fault with the plug and charger.

Several incidents have already occurred relating to the toy and Smyths issued the following statement:

“Smyths Toys has been made aware of several incidents regarding the plug/charger on this toy. No injuries have been reported.”

“The product was sold in the United Kingdom, Republic Of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Batch placed on the market from the 7th August 2017. The affected batch number is 1706. The batch code can be found on both the packaging and on the track itself as shown below.”

Smyths Toys have asked that parents take the toy away from their child and “return this item to a Smyths Toys Superstore for the product to be inspected and a refund issued.”

Other recent recalls in the past three weeks include a crib from Mothercare, a Søstrene Grene kids cutlery set and Johnston Mooney & O’Brien products.
