Speaking to Dublin Live, Sinn Fein TD Chris Andrew revealed this is an ongoing issue.

He told the publication, “[The community] has been kept hostage because of the events that happen every evening.

Andrews stressed, “The Gardaí need to be involved and Dublin City Council needs to be involved to ensure that whatever measures can be taken are taken.”

He said that there are children fighting every single evening “from 4pm”.

“Everyone was saying it’s only a matter of time before somebody was stabbed or killed,” the TD added.

Staff at Temple Street are treating the young boy. They’re doing their utmost best to treat the serious injuries he sustained in the attack.

We’re keeping the young boy and his parents in our thoughts.
