Stefanie Preissner has become a mum for the second time
The writer, actor, and director confirmed the arrival of her secondborn on her Instagram.
In the post, Stefanie revealed that she and her husband Noel Byrne had welcomed a baby boy into the world.
Sharing some adorable snaps of her latest addition, the mum of two wrote, “Billy Zephyr arrived into the world Friday morning.
“He’s been causing all sorts of chaos since then but we hope things are settling down now that we have him back from the unit.
“A huge thank you to Dr Jenny Walsh and her team who ensured his safe arrival and to the amazing ICU staff in the High Dependency Unit in @nationalmaternityhospital.”
The proud mum continued, “There are too many nurses, doctors, midwives, healthcare assistants, porters, catering staff and others to name them individually but every single person has been so accommodating, reassuring, and supportive.
“Noel and I are really grateful for all your thoughts and well wishes. Billy Zeph gets to meet Rori later today so standby for that!”
Stefanie had originally opted to keep her pregnancy under wraps, not announcing she was expecting until November 2023.
She revealed to the Irish Independent that she decided to share that she was pregnant after receiving a message from a follower asking about her baby bump.
Speaking about her decision to go public with the news, Stefanie said, “You don’t know what’s going to happen and I guess I do have a problem that, with miscarriages, if you don’t tell people, then you go through that grief alone.
“So I feel like — and because my life is so in public and I write about myself and my experience of the world – if something were to happen, and touch wood it doesn’t, but if something awful were to happen, then that’s not something I’m just going to be quiet about either.”
Stefanie has been very open about dealing with being pregnant and being in the public eye and motherhood as an autistic person following the birth of her daughter Aurora (Rori) in 2022.
