We’re loving they’re choice!

We have a while to wait until we have The Crown back on our computer screens.

However, we are starting to get excited, as the show announce their new cast members.

The latest royal to be cast is Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth’s daughter.

It has been confirmed that Erin Doherty, from Call The Midwife, will play the young royal.

In the upcoming season of the Netflix hit show, we will see a time jump of about ten years.

The original plan is for the show will run for 6 seasons in total, to cover the Queen Elizabeth’s life.

The first 2 seasons showed the beginning of her monarchy, with each following season due to portray a decade of her life.

The lovely Erin will join a host of new actors, who are set to star in the show.

Olivia Colman,  will be taking over the role of The Queen from Claire Foy, Tobias Menzies will star as Prince Philip, Helena Bonham-Carter will assume the role of Princess Margaret (major).

Ben Tobias will also be stepping into Matthew Goode’s shoes as Anthony Armstrong-Jones.

We’re short on any detail about the upcoming season, but it as been said that it will surround the era of 1964- 1976.

Which means we MIGHT just get a first-glimpse of Diana.

We will also see the demise of Princess Margaret’s marriage, and probably a little Charles and Camilla action.

All in all, we cannot WAIT for the new season of our fave royal show!

The Crown will return to Netflix in 2019.
