The trailer for Where The Crawdads Sing has finally landed and we’re covered in goosebumps.
The book by Delia Owens is being adapted for the big screen and it has quite a stellar cast.
Normal People star Daisy Edgar Jones will play protagonist Kya.
The actress will be joined by Taylor John Smith, Harris Dickinson, and David Strathairn.
The movie will be directed by Olivia Newman. Reese Witherspoon is producing the flick.
Where The Crawdads Sing became one of the most beloved books when it was released in 2018.
The film will follow Kya as she grows up in the marsh in North Carolina.
She is abandoned by both her parents and her older siblings in the early 1950s, but she is resourceful and learns to take care of herself.

Kya’s friend Tate Walker teaches her how to read and write and she quickly falls for him but is left behind again when Tate goes to college.
After Tate leaves, Kya becomes involved with quarterback Chase Andrews. However, the charming sportsman isn’t the man he claims to be. He attacks Kya after she ends their relationship, but she manages to escape.
Kya leaves town, but when she returns she is accused of murdering Chase.
And the evidence against her is insurmountable.
Taylor Swift has written a song for the movie called Carolina.
Where The Crawdads Sing will be released in cinemas in July 2022.
