The actress had to undergo training to teach her how to react in the case of a hostage situation. Yes, Meghan had to spend about a week learning the techniques royals are to use in the case of a hostage situation. From the distress signals she is to use if she is held against her will and is made to record a video, to basic psychology to help her deal with potential captors, the course is said to have been an intensive crash-course to help her prepare for the worst possible scenario. According to sources within the British Armed Forces, Meghan’s training was geared toward helping her to be rescued rather than any combat or weapons training.
