The new Little Mermaid doll has been unveiled and it is absolutely stunning.
The doll is based on actress Halle Bailey who plays Disney character, Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney's 1989 classic The Little Mermaid.
She posted an emotional video to Instagram on Monday revealing the doll and sharing her excitement with her 4.1 million followers.
She said: “I have something really exciting to reveal to you all. I am going to cry.
“This is the new Little Mermaid doll. I am literally choking up, because this means so much to me, and to have one that looks like me, that’s my favourite Disney character, is very surreal."
The new doll looks almost identical to Bailey, it even has the same mole she does.
The 22-year-old actress captioned her video: "omg the little girl in me is pinching herself right now.. I have my own Little Mermaid Ariel doll !!! I can’t believe how much she captures my version of this iconic character. brb gonna go cry now.."
The Little Mermaid trailer gives us a sneak peek into the movie that's expected to be released on May 26th 2023.

Videos of children's reactions to the movie trailer went viral on
TikTok in September when it was released with many parents voicing their support and hype for the new Disney movie.
The original "The Little Mermaid," starring Jodi Benson as Ariel grossed $84.4 million at the box office but we expect this re-make to surpass that.
