Two children feared dead after falling through frozen lake

They are now feared dead.

Two children are missing and feared dead after a group of children fell through a frozen lake in England.

Four children were rescued from the frozen lake on the afternoon of December 12th.

However, rescuers believe two children are still missing. They are now feared dead.

The group fell into the lake on Sunday when they were playing in the nature park.

Specialist divers entered the water on Sunday night in a bid to find the missing children.

According to the Daily Mail, two children were playing on the ice when it cracked. Their four friends then rushed to save them but they also fell into the icy water.

The children are reportedly under the age of 12.

Following the incident, West Midlands Police stated;

“Four children were rescued from the lake and subsequently taken to hospital.

“On behalf of West Midlands Police we understand how distressing this is for families and the wider community.

“We are doing everything we can to support all those involved.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service shared;

“There’s no clinical updates at this stage, as stated they were all in a critical condition on arrival at hospital.”

“Unfortunately, the children in the water were in cardiac arrest.

Officers are unaware of how long the children were in the water, but investigations are ongoing.
