Una Healy says being a mum is her priority
Singer and presenter Una Healy has opened up about balancing motherhood and her career.
The Saturdays star may be a household name, but she admitted that being a parent is always going to be the most important thing for her.
She told The Sunday World, “I’ve obviously taken quite a bit of time out of my life to be at home with my children. I didn’t want to be apart from them.”
Una said being a mum and being there for her children is always going to be her main priority.
No matter what projects she is working on, Una Healy said she will always make time for her children.
She added, “They are in their very important years, and being a mammy is my number one job.”
Whenever anyone asks her what she does for a living, Healy said she always tells them that she’s a mum.
Una Healy co-parents her two children, son Tadhg and daughter Aoife, with her ex-husband Ben Foden.
The couple welcomed their first child Aoife in 2012 and later welcomed their son Tadhg in 2015.
They ended their relationship in July 2018.
Ben Foden went on to marry Jackie Belanoff-Smith in 2019, shortly after his divorce from Una Healy was finalised.
The couple now have two children together, daughters Farrah and Olympia.
