Fitting a car seat is one of the big tasks for new parents and everyone knows just how important doing it properly is.

According to reports, a company in the US is hoping to make this task easier with their Self-Installing Car Seat.

PopSugar explains that 4moms is the brand behind the creation and that it is due to hit stores across the Atlantic in September 2016.

The website also reports that the seat is “amazing” and “does exactly what it promises to do.”

With the help of a free app, the seat base installs itself. The only thing that the user has to do is scan a number to determine the type of vehicle and hook the base’s LATCH straps to the the car’s LATCH anchors.

The seat then does the rest and even tells the parents when to slide in their baby carrier. It appears that the base continues to monitor the status of the seat and also notifies users when the batteries are running low.

The product, which will retail at $500, is said to be for babies who are 32 inches or less and weigh between 4 and 30 pounds.

Would you use one of these should they hit the global market or is this something you wouldn’t leave up to technology? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter.
