Victoria Beckham reveals why she is ‘terrified’ of Harper using social media

Victoria Beckham has revealed why she is 'terrified' of her youngest child starting to use social media.

Speaking to Vogue Australia, the fashion designer opened up about her worries that her daughter could encounter cruel trolls on social media, and revealed she is especially concerned about the level of body shaming that happens online. The mum-of-four said: “Harper isn’t on social media, so we don’t have to worry about that just yet. But seeing how cruel people can be, yes it really does [concern me]. She added: "She’s at that age where her body is going to start changing, but it’s about making sure that we communicate a lot as a family and she surrounds herself with nice friends. But it is quite terrifying, I can’t lie.”

No makeup or crop tops – yet

The 48-year-old. who is also mum to sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, said that although she is worried, Harper has not yet started wearing makeup or crop tops just yet, and even told off her own mother for wearing clothes "too short." "She’s not one of these kids who are going out with a full face of make-up and a crop top," Beckham revealed. "She actually said to me recently, ‘Mummy, I’ve seen some pictures of you when you were in the Spice Girls and your skirts were just unacceptable. They were just too short.’ Then David piped up and said, ‘Absolutely, Harper! They really, really were.’ And she was actually quite disgusted at how short my skirts were." The former pop-star added: "Then I said, ‘Are you never going to wear skirts like that?’ She said, ‘Absolutely not.’ We’ll see.”
