Baffled.
Even at our age we’re still finding new things out every day. Sometimes, we think we’re learning even more than the kids are in school.
And the latest piece of new information we learned today? The phrase ‘you’ve another thing coming’ is actually wrong.
But then Twitter stepped in and corrected us, of course.
See, writer Tammy Cohen took to the social media site with this tweet:
My copyeditor has corrected ‘you’ve another thing coming’ to ‘you’ve another think coming’ and I just googled it and she’s right and now everything I’ve ever known is a lie

WE KNOW. Another THINK coming.
And ever since, the whole Internet has lost their mind:

I learned this in my 20s after seeing it in several books as “think.”
I’m 35 now and it still throws me off.
…I definitely prefer “thing.”

I discovered that about two years ago and couldn’t believe I’d being saying it wrong for so long!

It looks wrong tho and it’s distracting.

I will never be able to accept this as correct. My mind can’t compute.

Just googled it. My mind has been blown. It makes perfect sense. https://t.co/r0AiuZz81c
