What’s actually lurking inside bath toys will definitely make you think twice about them

Oh YUCK.

Oh my God.

Now, this is just YUCK.

I don’t know about you, but I never give much thought about bath toys. I thought they were pretty clean given the fact they are always in the water and typically not something I thought could be hazardous or unclean.

Well, after seeing this video… I think I will think twice about them from now on.

Uploaded by user Maphia Toyz Tv, these one-month-old bath toys are regularly squeezed and used in the bath, yet they were hiding some seriously horrifying stuff on the inside and a breeding ground for mould.

Yep… GROSS.

So how do we prevent these toys from getting so nasty? Well according to parenting site Romper, they revealed that “soaking them in a solution of either white vinegar or chlorine bleach (not both) and water should do the trick (soak from an hour to overnight), as will boiling them in either plain water or a water/vinegar solution. As for getting the bleach residue off post-sanitisation, a run through the dishwasher will take care of that (in fact, you can put bath toys in the dishwasher on a regular basis for upkeep).”

Although, to be honest, I’m not sure I ever want to see a bath toy again. Yuck.
