They are as close as two sisters can get.
And now together they are making another set of sisters.
A cancer diagnoses didn't stand in the way of Maggie's dream to have children. Doctors had warned her that the disease could return if she got pregnant.
But her sister, Morgan, offered to become a surrogate for Maggie and her husband.
Speaking to
ABC7 Maggie, from California, said it was a dream come true:
"She's giving me and my husband a gift that we will never be able to repay her for and that's been a struggle for me"
Morgan said she now wants her sister to focus on getting healthy - she is due to deliver the twin girls on Sunday.
"I'm ready to see her be a mom. I'm ready to see her hold her baby,"
And the selfless sister is prepared to go one step further. Maggie has a stored embryo (a boy) and Morgan said she would go on to carry him too if that is what the couple wanted.
True sisterly love.
