Woman (44) charged with murder of two children in London

Two bodies were discovered at a property in east London.

A 44-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the deaths of two children.

According to Met Police, 44-year-old Kara Alexander has been arrested in connection with the incident.

She was charged with two counts of murder on Monday, December 19th.

On Friday, December 16th, police were called to a property in Cronwallis Road, Dagenham, east London.

Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of a 2-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy.

They were called to the house in east London at around 2 pm.

Police as well as the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The family of the deceased have been informed. They are now receiving support from specialist officers.

Police confirmed that formal identifications, as well as post-mortems will take place in due course.

A man was also arrested in connection with the murders, but was released a short time later.

Police confirmed that no further action will be taken against the man.

Both the man and woman are known to the children.

44-year-old Kara Alexander appeared before Barkingside Magistrates Court on Monday, December 19th.
