Woman who went into labour at Pink concert pays tribute with baby name
Now that's a story for the grandkids!
One Pink enthusiast will forever have an edge over other fans of the singer after she went into labour at her concert this week.
Angela Mercer was in the crowds of fans who all came out to watch Pink, who was born Alecia Beth Moore, take to the stage at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
After arriving at the venue, her baby decided it was time to make a memorable entrance into the world.
Taking inspiration from the situation, Angela took a piece of the So What singer's moniker to give to the new arrival and named her baby boy Aycen Hart.
Pink married Carey Hart in 2006, with whom she shares two children named Willow and Jameson Hart.
Luckily, the pregnant fan made it to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in time, with a spokesperson telling the PA News Agency that the name is very much a nod to the music artist and their birth story.
Angela was 31-weeks pregnant at the time and was on a girls trip celebrating a birthday when she began having contractions, according to a statement from the hospital.

“Angela hadn’t been expecting her son’s arrival quite yet, but she started having contractions shortly after arriving for the show,” they explained.
Because of where she was at in the pregnancy timeline, the expecting fan called her doctor who recommended she get herself to a hospital.
Due to heavy traffic surrounding the concert venue, she and her group decided the fastest course of action would be to walk to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which is approximately a 20-25 minute trek.
Gotta love a cool birth story. Congratulations to the new parents!
