‘I couldn’t work full-time’: Lucy Kennedy on being a mum of 3

Anna O'Rourke

“Our little family is complete.”

Lucy Kennedy has revealed that she loves being a mum, so much so that she can’t bear to be apart from her kids.

“I couldn’t work full-time because I miss them too much. I bring Jack and Holly into TV3. I’ve snuck them into loads of meetings,” she told the Irish Independent.

The presenter gave birth to her youngest daughter Jess four months ago and was already mum to seven year-old Jack and five year-old Holly.

She told the paper that the siblings have bonded well.

“Jack and Holly are obsessed with Jess. They just sit and stare at her.

“Jess is great, she’s such an easy baby. She’s very laid-back. She looks very like me but her personality is more like my husband’s,” she said.

She also revealed that she won’t be adding to her brood.

“It’s busier but kind of easier in a way. We really wanted a third baby and we were lucky enough to have one, so now we have that feeling of contentment.

“I feel finished, like our little family is complete,” she said, joking that her husband has told her they’re finished having kids.
