The Royal couple want their kids to grow up open and comfortable.

The British Royal family have long been the epitome of proper etiquette, it’s simply the way they’ve always acted and how they’ve always been portrayed in the media.

Recently Prince Harry opened up about his struggles surrounding his mother’s death, and how for 20 years he remained silent.

In an interview with Calmzine, Prince William explained how he wants a different upbringing for his kids,

“Catherine (Duchess Kate Middleton) and I are clear that we want both George and Charlotte to grow up feeling able to talk about their emotions and feelings.”

William, Harry, and Kate founded The Heads Together Campaign, which focuses on smashing the stigma of mental health issues.

The Prince explained how the campaign has opened his eyes to the importance of connecting with children on an emotional level;

“We have been amazed listening to children talk about some quite difficult subjects in a really clear and emotionally articulate way — something most adults would struggle with. Seeing this has really given me hope that things are changing and that there is a generation coming up who find it normal to talk openly about their emotions. Emotional intelligence is key for us all to deal with the complexities of life and relationships”.
