Mum shares brilliant and quick cleaning hack for kids' shoes
We will absolutely be trying this!
A mum has shared her great way of making sure her kid’s shoes are always looking brand new and it only takes her a couple of minutes.
Eilidh Wells often shares home hacks and fashion inspiration on social media (@eilidhwells) over on TikTok.
In a recent video, the mum from Glasgow showed others how she gets her kid's shoes looking like they’re straight out of the box - and it doesn’t involve the washing machine.
Eilidh explained that she uses a mix of a few products to give them a quick brighten up. Not only does her trick work, but the mum also says it prevents them from being damaged in the long run.
She said: "So I'm using the oxyactive fabric stain remover and just putting it all over the top.
"I got this little pack of brushes from Amazon and it's basically like a dishmatic but with a brush.
"So they're absolutely perfect for cleaning shoes. I really like to avoid using the washing machine for trainers cause I feel like it really discolours them and they just end up ruined.
"So I'm giving them a really good scrub and this is sometimes enough just to get them freshened up."
Moving on to her next trick, Eilidh gets the "big guns" out and uses carpet stain remover.

She went on to say: "I'm using the Doctor Beckman Carpet Stain Remover - I always use this for so much more than just carpets.
"It is so, so good at brightening up shoes and taking out stains.
"Last step is just to soak them in some hot water with some oxy stain remover and whitening booster.
"This always makes them look a lot brighter and I soak them for about ten minutes and then I put them out in the sun to dry.
"The sunlight really helps lift out any remaining stains but I am super happy with how this pair turned out."
