The mum has banned Roblox in her home because of this incident.
If you have kids then you definitely know about Roblox. The popular gaming platform is incredibly popular, but one mum has banned it from her home.
She explained that her daughter is no longer allowed on it because of a disturbing message.
She explained that someone managed to contact her child and asked them where they lived.
Luckily, the mum managed to spot the message before her five-year-old responded to the anonymous user.
She warned other parents about the incident on Facebook, urging them to be wary of similar messages.
She said she doesn’t even want to think about what would’ve happened to her little girl if the person got their hands on her address.
The mum said: “My instincts kicked in when he was having her ask the address from me and I was like who wants our address she was like my friend, so I said they want your Brookhaven address she said no, they want this address!”
“I cannot imagine what this man would have done to my baby. She would never go outside without me or her dad.”
The mum told other parents and guardians to keep a close eye on their children’s accounts because they don’t know how easy it is for people to contact them, even if they have protected accounts.
“Pay attention to your kid’s platforms like this is a pedophile’s playground” she added.
If a child under the age of 12 wants to sign up to Roblox then the platform will filter out ‘inappropriate content’. It will also block out certain words and phrases.
Children over 13 also have restricted access to the platform.
