3 fun and educational workshops for children

Fantastical Flavours

Sive O'Brien

Don’t know what to do for the rest of the week? If making rabbit farts and rainbow water sound like activities that your children would love, check out these three cool workshops and camps. All guaranteed to keep busy little minds entertained over the remainder of the Easter holidays.

1. Children’s Spring Fest at Eason stores

Eason has launched a series of events called Children’s Spring Fest, which is taking part from now until May 9 in stores nationwide. The event will feature book offers, readings and fun learning activities. Characters such as Princess Mirror-Belle, Hugless Douglas and Monsters will form the basis of a series of in-store story-time events with brands such as Playdoh, Crayola, LEGO and more to inspire young minds to read, play and have fun over the spring season.

2. The Art of Fantastical Flavours Workshop at The Ark

Children aged between eight and 12 years can discover some of the most bizarre recipes ever invented and how they’ve been inspired by stories; artworks; tastes; places, before writing and designing their own. The Art of Fantastical Flavours Workshop runs April 10 and April 11, 1pm-3.30pm. Tickets cost €11 per adult, €8 per child.

3. CSI Camp at Imaginosity

Taking place April 7-10, 9.30am-1pm, the CSI Camp at Dublin’s Imaginosity costs €80 for four days, or €25 per day. Daily activities will include learning to take finger prints, making invisible ink, building a prison, taking part in a dragon hunt, a bomb experiment, plus more. Each day will also include interactive play on the museum floor.
